Hi Chuck, thank you for the welcome.  Olympia is awash in in Folk musicians.  The Old Timey scene is whats most prevalent though.   We do have a small but verdant Quebecois group.

Below there is mention of a summer workshop.  Could you share more about?  Also if possible could you share some Acadian musicians that I could listen to?  I have been listening to Vishten from PE and love there sound.  But I'm not sure as to how to find others.   :-)

We have a special concert on April 27th with the Nordic Fiddler's Bloc coming to Bar Harbor Maine. Tickets are $15 (40 seat venue).  Stay tuned for more.

Hey, this year is going to be amazing for Irish music!  With Nicole Rabata teaching flute, Liz Carroll on Fiddle, Padraig Rynne on Concertina, and, of course, John Doyle on guitar.. it's pretty well topped off.... a week without sleep!
