I am looking for John Sindt Bb/B/A whistles to complete my collection of Sindt whistles. I currently have every other key made by John Sindt. Incredible whistles! Send me a PM should you have any Sindt whistles in the desired keys that you might consider parting with.

I don't have any whistles you're looking for, but i urge you to try the Löfgren brass/blackwood whistles as they IMO (and Conor from Reálta agreed) are "Sindts with more 'body' "

I wish you luck in finding the keys you look for!

Lars,
I understand thatMark is producing whistles that many whom I respect are stating great things about. I will no doubt eventually add a Lofgren whistle to my collection. I really have a desire to complete my collectionmof Sindt Whistles as I really love John's craftsmanship and everything about his whistles.

I will continue seeking my Sindt's in Bb/B/A. I can move on to collecting other outstanding whistles that I desire once that is realized.

Cheers Mate,

I see. Wasn't sure what aspect was most important to you, the 'complete collection' or the strictly musical "quality" part, hence my slightly off topic reply :)

Cheers!

Lars,
NO PROBLEM, and I do appreciate your comment on the Lofgren whistles and I know you are a great proponent of his work. The Lofgren whistles remind me of Sindt whistles aesthetically and I am told they are extremely nice musically. If I did not have a nearly complete fleet of Sindt whistles, I might very well opt to try a Lofgren. Both the musical and collectible aspects of wanting to complete my collection of Sindt whistles are considerations. I will continue to trynand complete my collection of Sindt whistles in all keys.

And yes, for heavens sake, try the Löfgren eventually!. Also, it's worth mentioning that Erle Bartlett makes fantastic whistles in C and B, too. Erle's B is very, very, very, good, in my opinion. You might like it.

Anyway, hope the link is of use to you. Good luck, and I hope you win it!

Hey Folks,
I have finally connected and am currently in a pending deal on the purchase of a Sindt Set in Bb/A. Thanks to all that replied.

If anyone out there has a spare Sindt B whistle body (tube), I am interested in purchasing one. Send a PM if you have one for sale. Thanks to all!

I have finally completed my aquisition of John Sindt Whistles in every key John makes. Simply put, incredible whistles by a gifted maker. My hat is off to you John Sindt!

Do the other keys have the same wonky C-nat (in D-whistle terms) as the D?

As you may know i replaced the tube on mine with a brass Feadóg one and got  a still brilliant whistle but now with a in-tune
(oxx ooo) C-nat..

Larry,
They do, but I don't find it to be a problem.
