Hi Fergus,

I'll pass it on to Clara. Have a good tour and say Hi to Jim for me.

Yes it is. All's fine here, although I'm waiting for spring to appear.

What's your schedule after next week? Are you playing anywhere? Clara's in Port Aux Basques right now and heading back to St. John's next weekend.

Everyone is doing fine!  Henry just got his first whistle, one of those little high G jobs.  If you remember Jerry Casault from Bay City, he, Bruce MacCartney, Randy Bunting (another local I don't believe you've met), and I are working up some sets of tunes and songs for St. Pat's.  It's been quite fun so far.

Jen says you wrote to the Midland Celtic web page.  Unsurprisingly, it's us.  Right after we moved here a bunch of us were playing tunes at the Midland Highland Festival, and someone commented that it was the same twenty tunes everyone around knew.  I took that as a personal challenge, and I've taught tunes workshops at every Midland Folk Festival since we moved here, usually half Irish and half Newfoundland.  These days it's not unusual to hear an Emile Benoit waltz or some singles in the Midland / Bay City sessions.  The stuff on the web is just "on-line resources" for the workshops.

Thanks for your note, Fergus. It was a tough tough flight back home and a real shock for all of us. My Dad was one of the best.

Jonathan and I will be back to NF to finish our research and are hoping that you and your son are up for another round!

best and thanks again.
