Lee Perkins commented on Dick Glasgow's group The Hammered Dulcimer in Ireland!
"It's very nice to see HD participating in some Irish groups. I'm over here in Asheville, NC where HD is fairly popular but, as I hear it, not so welcome in the Irish sessions. Kind of too bad. It's so perfectly suited to Irish…"

"I have gotten some very nice tippers from Christian Hedwitschak. He also has the foam grips for them which is nice if you like that. I have lately been enjoying homemade tippers (easy to make with rubber rings and heat shrink tubing) made from…"

"Not so sure about on line ones as I've only tried one, but I would highly recommend Steafan Hannigan' s & Eamonn Murray's DVD's. The Tommy Hayes one is good too but he uses a weird tipper technique"

Online tutorials

Has anyone tried the online tutorials at www.oaim.ie? I started the Bodhran series and it seems to be good. Though there may be other online teachers out there? What have the folks here seen? Being in North Carolina USA there are not a lot of Bodhran players to get instruction/ideas from.See More
