Major new survey on the issue of 'Session Etiquette'

Concertina player and 'Tunes in the Church' founder Cormac Begley is undertaking a major new survey on session etiquette, the outcome of which you can post anonymously (or not), to those musicians in your circle that you think may be in need of such guidance. You can take part and have your say.  Here is Cormac's message via his Facebook page.

"Hi everyone! Out of curiosity I'm going to start surveys relating to attitudes on topics relating to traditional Irish music. First up is session etiquette. I would be very grateful if you could share this post and encourage people to fill it out. I will be posting the results over the coming weeks so stay tuned. If there are topics you think should be covered please let it be known in the questionnaire. Thank you.

I filled out the survey and am eager to see the results! When do you plan to report the findings, please?

I remember reading a post about bodhran players etiquette...while some of it was

Tongue in cheek there was a lot of sensible points. I follow them as best I can.

Only one drum playing at a time ( if possible ) so you and those around can hear and enjoy the music.

Take turns if the other bodhran players Dont follow suit that's up to them.

Enjoy the tunes tap your feet prepare to play.
