Traditional Irish Music
Anchor ALDOC members Alan Doherty and Gerry Paul are returning to the same city where they recorded their debut album, 'From Tallaght To Halle'. They have their core group of musicians on hand along with a few new exciting additions.
Having constructed a distinctive, groove-based, worldly sound on their first album, the boys are set to push the boundaries on their 2nd record and expand the sound even further. The record will feature the signature flute and whistle compositions of band-leader, Alan Doherty, complete with his unique vocal hooks. Producer Gerry Paul has a clear vision of how this new record will sound and how to bring the ensemble together to achieve this in the studio in Wellington.
Like their debut record, this is an independent release. This will allow the band to have complete creative and commercial control, allowing ALDOC to follow their unique musical path. They have earned a reputation as a dynamic and powerful live band and will bring this energy to the studio and to this new album. The band has flourished creatively in recent times and are overflowing with new ideas and sounds they are extremely excited to share with you.
We use our network on Tradconnect to get behind and support these campaigns. As the band say in their press release: “Your input and support is vital as without it, independent music will continue to struggle to compete with the mainstream.” The funding they are hoping to secure from this campaign will go towards the recording, mixing, mastering, duplication, artwork and promotion of their new record. They will also film the recording process so you can feel how it all came together when the record arrives in your hand.
