Track of The Week - The Yanks with Josh Dukes

This weeks track features The Yanks with the addition of some drums and a saxaphone. Its taken from an album launch at the Catskills Irish Arts Week.  You also need to stick with the track until the end.  Featuring Josh Dukes on drums it builds and builds. For those that don't know, Josh is part of the Old Guard Fife + Drum Corps, a division of the US Army that plays for Presidential Inaugurations and other official events. He appeared on the Washington DC music scene years ago and got into Irish music having never heard it before. He also plays flute and guitar, winning the All Ireland accompaniment title a few years ago.

I opened my radio show with this track last Sunday as I was fortunate to receive an mp3 of this set of tunes from Dylan Foley.  Isaac, the tunes you did with the sax were fabulous...reminded me of At the Racket!  The CD release was the highlight of my few days in the Catskills, incredible energy and such an enthusiastic audience.  And don't get me started on the fabulous dancers!!!

Haha, the picture does indeed show me playing tenor saxophone, but I'm afraid on this particular track I'm only playing the uilleann pipes. Still, hope all you Tradconnect folks enjoy it!
