Traditional Irish Music
A tune I composed for prayer lyrics entitled Sweet Saviour God in January of 1997. At Easter of that year my mother had suddenly passed away. Knowing of my father's immense grief and pain, and listening to his remembrance of her I wrote a song Maureen of Windsor depicting his thoughts in June of 1997. I subsequetly used this tune as I wrote the lyrics for my dad. The lyrics represent their life together:
"As Rose to me, is my Maureen
A flower sent from Heav'n above.
To grace me with a scent of Love,
To fill all of my days.
In Spring you bloomed, then we were wed,
Summer came, our family did grow.
Fall has come, petals to fall.
'Tis Winter now, sweet dreams my love,
'till we meet again."
May your seasons be blessed;
