Julie is a great vocalist and I have always loved the fact that she most often sings in Scottish Gaelic. And the lady plays a mean whistle!!! Kees, another good post,

Good to see the old tunes saved and kept alive! In the process, the culture is kept alive. Wonderful singing and accompaniment - what a beautiful way to honor your roots!

Great stuff Kees! Julie Fowlis always speaks about North Uist, so it is wonderful to finally get an impression of that place and its history. And as a major bonus, we get a few shots of Julie and her band playing live. A must see for all Julie afficionados!
