The Irish World Academy staff & students are hosting a benefit concert on Wednesday next, February 6th at Dolan's Warehouse Limerick for recent graduate of the MA Irish Traditional Music Performance programme Rachel McGeehan, who was involved in a serious car accident last month. The concert will feature performances from a variety of students, staff and tutors at the Academy, including Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin (piano), Derek Hickey (accordion), Niall Keegan (flute), Sandra Joyce (song/bodhrán), singer-songwriter Seán Ó Dálaigh with his band Seán's Walk, Socks in the Frying Pan, Hazelwell (female vocal trio), Róisín Ní Galloglaigh (song), Daoiri Farrell (voice/bouzouki), Paddy Cummins, Fia Rua, Celtic Blonds, Masters in Irish Traditonal Music students & Mel Velenztas (piano).
The concert will be followed by a trad disco with DJ Danny Deepo.

Unfortunately I can't attend due to commitments, but I wish Rachel a speedy recovery, and please God she will return to her music activities soon
