Event Description

Ten world class musicians from all across the globe have joined forces in Galway to create their music, which they have called ‘Salsa-Trad’. The band blends effortlessly their passion for Irish and Latin music with their contagious energy and style.

Baile an Salsa were featured recently on the local and national airwaves as the ‘Play Irish’ artist on Galway Bay FM. The band has also created quite a stir further from home, having featured on Canadian Radio and getting to Number 2 in the Colombian Charts in February of this year. This month, Radio PIN in Poland picked one of the band’s tunes, ‘Irish Plena’, as their Song of the Week. The band’s music has even reached as far as Asia, where Baile an Salsa songs have been played (and danced to!) at Salsa Festivals in Singapore and China.

Baile an Salsa perform original material composed by the band and blended with traditional Irish tunes. Andres, the lead vocalist and founder of the band, brings melodies from various styles including Salsa, Rumba, Flamenco, Sean Nós and more. Don't be surprised to hear songs in Irish, Spanish and English!
