Event Description

2011 Concert Tour of North America

The Riley School of Irish Music in Cincinnati is thrilled to serve as the Cincinnati sponsor of this year’s Echoes of Erin Tour!!!

Many members of the the school community are members of Comhaltas, a global non-profit association dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Irish Traditional music. Comhaltas is the organizer of the U.S. Midwest Fleadh, and the All Ireland music competition that 10 musicians from Riley recently attended in Cavan, Ireland.  Each year, some of the winners of the All Ireland competition come to North America to perform at a few select venues.

This year, we are thrilled that the tour is making a stop in Cincinnati! The show will showcase some of the best performers from the competition, and will include traditional Irish music, song, stories, and dance.

If you live near Cincinnati and are interested in being a host for the performers, please contact Dan Curtin (curtin@nku.edu, or 859.572.7636).
