It’s been another brilliant year for Gorey’s Mark Redmond who is now one of Ireland’s most in-demand uilleann pipers. Thrill of the year to date for Mark was playing the pipes of 1916 leader Éamonn Ceannt at a concert in Kilmainham Jail. He performs regularly with Daoirí and has seen up close how the “so talented, so natural” singer and bouzouki player wins over his audience every time. Donal Lunny describes Daoirí is "one of the most important traditional singers to emerge in the last decade".
