Experience the Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School from the comfort of your own home -- we're bringing a number of workshop options online! Master class workshops through Zoom will be held throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9, 2020. Our beginner and intro music classes will take place through Zoom during the evenings of Monday and Tuesday, August 10 and 11. Zoom meeting and password info will be sent to registered student the week of August 3.
The Irish Fest Summer School features classes that showcase the rich culture, history and traditions of Ireland and Irish America, past and present. Come learn to play the Irish fiddle, flute, tin whistle, guitar, harp, Celtic music styles, and more from master musicians. Or take a discussion class and learn about Irish history, Irish language, and culture! Our Celtic arts classes offer hands-on learning for everyone! The Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School is part of CelticMKE.
Registration fee for each 1 hour online class is $25.
The class schedule is organized as follows:
Friday, August 7, 2020: Zoom test session for students, time to be announced.
Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2020: One hour master classes in Irish music, song, language, culture, dance, and crafts from 10:00am to 6:30pm.
Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11, 2020: One hour beginning and intro music classes from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
Evening instructor showcase and replays of past instructor showcases.
