The weekly slow session for Irish tunes continues this Saturday afternoon, at the New York Irish Center. There's been a surprisingly good turnout this summer. Lets keep it going!
The practice tune for this month - The Primrose Lass/Cailin na Samharcini (http://abcnotation.com/tunePage?a=www.capeirish.com/webabc/collections/cre/v2/cre2-tunes.txt/0250).
Again, this is a session geared towards beginners. So if you ever feel that the speed is too fast, just ask and folks won't mind slowing down to a speed you're comfortable with.
On a related note, if you want to start playing at a faster pace, you should head over to Dempsey's (61 2nd Avenue) on Tuesday nights (8pm onwards). Great musicians, friendly atmosphere, big space and beer!
