Event Description

The Slow Session continues this Saturday afternoon at NYIC. Drop by to share some tunes and songs - all instruments and skill levels welcome!
The monthly CCE session is also happening this Sunday afternoon from 4-7pm. Hosted by Cathy Hornberger, it's always a friendly session with some great musicians. Do check it out.
Again, the slow session is geared towards learning musicians. If you find a tune to be a bit fast, we can always play it again at a slower pace. Some of us play with sheet music, but you're encouraged to (try)play by ear as well. There are not many rules, so feel free to play at a slower pace or choose an unknown tune/song. Just make sure you know the entire tune (so others can learn from you).
On a related note, if you want to start playing at a faster pace, you should head over to Dempsey's (61 2nd Avenue) on Tuesday nights (8pm onwards). Great musicians, friendly atmosphere, big space and beer!
