The Slow Session at the New York Irish Center continues this Saturday afternoon. Drop by to share some tunes and songs over coffee/tea - all instruments and skill levels welcome!
The monthly Craobh Ul Mor session is also coming up this Sunday, with James Keane as guest musician. It's always a relaxed open session (though a bit faster), so do try to check it out.
On a side note, the NYIC is organizing its annual fundraiser next month, and is welcoming sponsorships and contributions. They've been very supportive of our weekly sessions (with space as well as coffee/goodies), so maybe we could contribute something together to show our support for their future. There's more details here, if you're curious -http://www.newyorkirishcenter.org/our_story.cfm?catid=14440
Also, if you want to start playing at a faster pace, you should head over to Dempsey's (61 2nd Avenue) on Tuesday nights (8pm onwards). Great musicians, friendly atmosphere, big space and beer!
