Event Description

This will be the third Traidphicnic. In the first two years of festival life,we have bought you our local heroes,along with some of the big names in Irish Traditional music,song and dance. This festival is run bi-lingually through Irish and English.and is open to all on a donate what you can basis. Previously featured Charlie Lennon, Martin Hayes, Kevin Crawford, Johnny Connolly, Johnny Óg Connolly, Liz and Yvonne Kane, Danny Ó Mahony, The Bonnymen, Trúir, Colm Gannon, Harry Bradley, Dordán, Paul Bradley, Rúairi Cunnane, Geraldine Bradley, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Ciarán Ó Maoinaigh, Caoimhín Ó Fearghaill, Eventide, Toner Quinn, Malachy Bourke, Emmett Gill, Jessie Smith, Seosamh Ó Neachtain, Marian Ní Chonghaile. Who will be with us this year? Running along side the gigs from the outdoor stage,the family zone will feature Ceardlann, Spiddal Craft Village celebrating 30 years of Crafting, try out pottery, basket weaving, make a puppet, also you have a chance to take a walk with a Hawk, storytelling, a guided walk, take an informal Irish lesson and more. Steve Sweeney and friends will be there with the turf fire for tunes,and chance to try out your cúpla focal.On the Saturday morning we will be hosting the Masterclasses that will incur a cover charge.
