Competition - Win a copy of Dermot Byrne & Floriane Blancke new album

We have somehow ended up with a spare copy of this wonderful album by Dermot Byrne and Florianne Blanke. Check out our review here. Its a great album and worthy of any record collection.

So if you want it simply provide you suggestion of a name for their second follow up album, should they record one, bearing in mind the influences that have inspired this duet. Best name, as selected by us wins.

"Chapitre deux"

(are multiple suggestions allowed btw?)

I take the silence as a 'yes' and suggest as an alternative:

I have two seperate suggestions, "LOOMWORKS" or "YARNS FROM THE LOOM", both making reference to the rich musical stories produced by the masterful weaving of Dermot and Florianne, their instruments, their influences, and their collaboration with other highly skilled musicians. Both titles also are reflective of the organic roots of the music that has influenced Byrne and Blanke individually as musicians and the resulting weave of the two in their collaborative efforts. Too, their is a long history of both the Irish and French to the looms that provided textiles to the masses and that connection is reflected in the Irish and French musical selections played by Dermot and Florianne.

Seems to be a lot of weaving mentioned so................

"Flying shuttles"

Apologies.  We seem to have forgotten to conclude this competition.  We will leave it open for one more week and some lucky winner will get an album.

"Dream Weaver"

The winner of this competition is Paul Ivory for his Dream Weaver suggestion. Congrats.  For all other disappointed entrants we have another competition coming up for a Brendan Begley album.
