I'm trying to form a folk group in my area, do you have ideas for trying to find people interested?

Hi Abii.  There is no easy solution to these things other than perseverence and the belief that if your mind is on achieving something you will come into contact with the right bunch of people. That as well as putting notices up in local libraries, newsagents, the local classifieds.  If you are on social networks like Tradconnect , Facebook etc, eventually your thread gets picked up by someone. A friend of mine set up a great folk club of sorts in the upstairs room of a pub which he runs once a month. Started small and is now a big success. Keep at it and don't give up and use every opportunity to bring it to peoples attention.
