Greetings Irish/Celtic Fiddle Players in the Northeast U.S!

Hi, this is Rose, fiddler and band leader of Burning Bridget Cleary. We are presently auditioning for a young (20-30) fiddler/singer – female or possibly male - and able to sing harmonies and/or some lead.  Our present other fiddler will be leaving the band at summer’s end, so we are looking to complete our line-up, or at least find musicians who can sub for some performances.  Burning Bridget Cleary has been established since 2006 and has achieved quite a nice profile within the Celtic and folk circles in the U.S.

We're located in Montgomery County, PA - just NW of Philadelphia. The band doesn’t tour full time, but we normally play 2-4 gigs a month on national Celtic and folk-circuit stages.  Our travels have been taking us all over the eastern half of the U.S., with our largest base in Pennsylvania.

“BBC” has gained a reputation for presenting traditional music in an exciting, engaging manner; we have a lot of fun on stage and always strive to leave the audience happy and eager to share the band with friends.

We are now working on our fifth CD.  Our recordings broke new ground in 2013 with “Pressed for Time,”  hitting #1 on the Roots Music Folk and Roots charts (8-30-2013).  It finished 2013 as one of the most played albums on the Folk DJ charts and three tracks were featured on "Thistle and Shamrock." It was also listed in “Irish Music Magazine” as one of the top ten CD’s in Chicago for May and June 2014.

If this sounds like an opportunity that interests you, either as a regular player or a fill-in - or if you have a friend who may fill the bill, - please contact us!  We’re excited about moving into the future and will be auditioning through the summer.  Please check our website/FB pages below for audio, video, and lots more information.  We look forward to hearing from you!

ever find your fiddler, Rose?

Hey Tim,

How's it going?  Yes, we found an excellent fiddler from Montclair, NJ, Amy Beshara.  You have just reminded me that I should delete this posting, but I don't think it can be deleted:  I guess I will need to  "close the discussion,"  so if you want to talk any more, please do message me directly. Cheers!
