This all original tenor banjo has a serial number ‘648’ (both on neck and pot) which dates it at 1921 and so one of the first Paramounts to leave the factory. The Style C banjo is one of Paramount’s most attractive designs, richly decorated with elaborate wood marquetry and very fancy engraved pearl inlay. As you can see a very beautifully cared for tenor banjo and a treasure to own.

Straight neck, nice action, powerful sound. The overall look is dark finished mahogany with checkered cad yellow purfling pattern wood edging. The mahogany neck is of multi wood construction with carved heel, carved peg head back and multilayered wood binding with a checkered marquetry inlay up the sides. The head stock is decorated with an extremely fancy engraved pearl inlay and the fingerboard has shaped and engraved pearl in a flying bird motif.
