I just learned this set from the recording by Diedre Havlin on "Wooden Flute Obsession Volume One".  I have always loved this set, and finally set down to learn it.  The first tune has the feel of a Medieval March in a relative minor key.  Very simple, yet complex and full of color.  Its a great setup piece.  The following reel is quite melodic and really kicks up its heels with lots of octave jumps and flowing ornamentation. Its a challenging tune to learn but well worth the effort. This set is great fun to play, listen to, or dance to.  If you get a chance to listen to Diedre's recording, I recommend it.
