Traditional Irish Music
"Sweet Anne's Road" is about the war in Afghanistan and its effect on a young couple from the rural Copper Hill area of Virginia. I grew up in Ireland and although the story of the song deals with rural America the air is influenced by the Irish folk music I grew up with around Ballaghadereen, County Roscommon. I was on my way to Floyd, Virginia, one day from Roanoke and I passed a road that, out of the corner of my eye read, "Sweet Anne's Road" and thought it a lovely name for a road. However, when I went back later I realized that it is actually called "Sweet Annie's Drive". But I had finished the song by then.

Excellent song. We are also making a song on tax war with America. Yeah! would be little comic.
