Traditional Irish Music
I have an Traditional Irish radio show that airs on WOBC, 91.5FM via Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. My show follows the school schedule, so right now they are on Winter Term and there are no classes and WOBC is closed. Last semester, I had a 2 hour show on Tuesdays from 6 to 8pm, and had the wonderful opportunity to interview musical groups like The Willis Clan, Noel Lanegan, The Step Crew, and The Gothard Sisters. There may be an interim period during January, but I won't know any more until I receive info from the WOBC student-run staff. Otherwise, I hope to be back on come mid-February thru mid-May. Again, I won't know what day/times they will give me. If you're interested, I can keep you posted. In the meantime, go to www.wobc.org and peruse their website. There should be a link for shows and you can check out my playlists.
I hope this is helpful. :-)

As some will know, traditional Irish, Celtic and Newfoundland music plays a large part in the culture of our province here on the east coast of Canada.
One long running show is streamed on the internet and produced and hosted by Eric MacEwen
There are also several commercial radio stations that feature traditional music on a weekly basis (weekends) here in St. John's, Newfoundland.

I hope this helps.

Hello! My name is Cindy Funk and I do a weekly celtic music show called The Dear Green Place on WYSOfm in Ohio.
The Dear Green Place has been on the air since 2005, and I play mostly trad celtic music and contemporary music with a trad sensibility. You can catch the show locally on 91.3 fm, or streaming online at: www.wyso.org . The Dear Green Place airs every Saturday from 3 - 5pm. Along with playing great celtic folk music on cd, I also occasionally have folk playing live in the studio.
Check out my station page (http://wyso.org/programs/dear-green-place) for playlists of recent shows, plus links to some of the interviews I've done. You can also find me on Facebook, under my name or The Dear Green Place.
I'm always looking for new music for my audience. Artists can contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
