Traditional Irish Music
For some reason, I've always been drawn to the more mellow sounds made by instruments playing in C, Bb, B & F & I have many happy memories of playing in flat keys, over the years & I'm sure I'm not alone.
The job of this group then, is to promote the playing of Irish Music in all those more mellow keys & pitches, from Tin Whistles & Flutes in C & Bb, to Uilleann Pipes in C, Bb & B, to the G/D, Bb/F, Baritone, Bass & Old Pitch Concertinas.
I have kicked off this group with four pages of links to some Videos & Sound Files which help to demonstrate the glorious sound these wonderful instruments make. However, I am sure there are lots more out there, so if you are also a fan, please join this group & post your own favourite links, even better if they who your own playing.
I look forward to us having some interesting discussions on our own personal experiences with these instruments playing in these lovely mellow keys.
Cheers,
Dick
