Hi all,
I have just finished the first part of a website move/update which I am hoping will be easier for people to get around. I have moved all of the previous sounds etc from the custom-written javascript player and I am now using linked Soundcloud playlists which essentially cuts down my administration by about 100%!

I'd really like to hear some feedback from anyone who has the time or inclination to take a look around. I am brand new to the wordpress system of websites so I hope I haven't missed anything silly.

I've also found and uploaded (with Paddy's kind permission) four additional out takes, which I hope you might enjoy. Rather than separate these out, they are just listed as one track comprising four sets (about 14 minutes long - Castletown Conners/Colonel Fraser/The Gold Ring/Mulvihill's. The first set is essentially the second track of mine and Paddy's CD which we had originally recorded in the B flat, the second set is a "straight" version of Colonel Fraser in B flat, the third set is the Gold Ring and a tune in C. I had previously only uploaded the flute as a solo but with Paddy's permission I have included his backing which was on the original recording. The last set in the track is a slightly faster version of the Mulvihill's set from the CD again.

The main links to the website and how I have arranged it are as follows:

I'm almost out of physical CD's so I will soon be able to sleep at night again!

Thanks and regards,
Tom McElvogue

Tom. That's a great site, one of the best I have seen. I love the outtakes and Trivia and info about the recording and would love if musicians would post more of this type of stuff on Tradconnect as it is a great way of promoting your music and giving people an insight into the process, the stories, the pain of the studio etc. All too often musician sites deal with bio's, reviews, the album only,  so you have broken some new ground here. And the music. Wow.

Thanks Tony,

I did take a deep intake of breath when deciding to share lots of stuff about the CD but I really felt I needed to provide some level of explanation as to why the CD took so long to complete when all the music was essentially recorded in a couple of weeks. Thanks for taking the time to look at the site and also also for encouraging the online community with your website!
