Traditional Irish Music
Van Sederburg :
Was asking about Vibrato In Irish Music.
And said ( Is there a rule? Maybe this is a silly question,)
1/ Q: Is there a rule ?
A: There's genearally are no rules in Irish music,it seem's
to me. More a Etiquette and/of keeping close to the Tradition.
2/ Q: Maybe this is a silly question ?
A: No ! it's not silly, and I have asked it many times myself,
especally in my early playing.
Here's a Fiddler of the old Traditional School Paddy Canny.
But beside, is a new school player who was classically taught !

So he would know much about Vidrato -
* Same could be said of these 3 Fine Irish Fiddle Player's :-
Michael Coleman

John Sheahan ( The Dubliner's )

Sean Keane ( The Chieftian's )

I only like to put Vibrato with a, '' Less is More '' Attitude !
Mostly in Air's, Song's, Slow tunes, but sometimes in, and at the end
of some Reel's and Jig's etc. * Here is a Video I made up once on Vibrato !

I just realized that the message I sent asking this question was just an email to the group and not a posting as intended. How embarrassing. I didn't mean to spam everyone. I see now what I was supposed to have clicked on to start a new discussion. Thanks for the reply!
