Traditional Irish Music
It is often a good idea to listen to a couple of very steady tunes before practice in order to get you into "the zone." I think the attached tunes are fantastic for this purpose and no better men than Maurice and John.
The first jig in particular is perfect speed and rhythm. Listen to it a couple of times, get the foot tapping and then attempt one of your own tunes in a similar way. Check out the musicians websites and get their albums if you have not done so to date. Inspiring stuff for your iPod.

That first clip in particular just floors me! You wouldn't want to hear it any quicker, you wouldn't want to hear anyone back him, it's just perfect.
