Traditional Irish Music
I just found this site from linkedin and so here I am. I've been a whistle maker for about 14 years making a full line of whistles and low whistles. I play in an improv group using mainly my Low D and we play dance music and get together on Sunday afternoons for a good time.
A lot of my customers have asked for a louder Low D to play in session so I've just completed a new version which is pretty loud and has a great tone. It is not yet up on my site so you can't see it or hear it but it looks pretty much like the one pictured there. Here's the address of my site...
www.reyburnwhistles.com so come on over and have a look. I welcome your comments about my instruments or anything else.
Nice to meet you Ronaldo. I am just up the road in Portland. I have heard good things about your whistles, would love to try one some day.
Always nice to meet a maker (though I want to delay meeting my own for a few years yet!!). Welcome to Tradconnect as a whole and the whistle detatchment in particular. I hope you find the site entertaining.
Wow, Ronaldo! Louder than my older Reyburn low D? My Reyburn is a very brave sounding instrument....I have enjoyed it for several years.... Judith
Thanks for the welcome Mike and it'll be interesting to see what goes on here on this site.
Hi Judith, Nice to see you on this site and yes my latest Low D is louder and has a great balance between the octaves.
Nice to meet you too Anton... a fellow Oregonian! I'd be happy to serve you with one of my whistles so let me know when you're ready.
Welcome to Tradconnect and Whistlin' hi and low Ronaldo!
Hope you'll like it here and will be able to contribute with your gathered thoughts and experience!
All the best!
Hello Mr. Reyburn.
I know of your whistles from Blanye Chastains Iteach classes.
He often uses on of your high ds for teaching tunes and they sound wonderful.
Of course Blayne plays VERY well, but the fact that he uses your whistles says much about them.
oooops. I think I need one of the new ones.
Hey Ronaldo! Good to see you here you old "newbie". Your narrow bore high D is still one of my favorites. Bet your new one rocks as well!
Hey Blayne thanks for the welcome. Glad to hear my Narrow Bore d is high on you list and yes the new Session Low D does rock.
