Well, they gather up like that because of course there's ..... Safety in Numbers! :-)

Personally speaking though, I really don't like playing my HD with others, cause I find the voice of the instrument just gets lost, so I only play with other instruments. ....... but then of course in Ireland, that is very rarely a problem, but when I do session with another HD players, I play my Fiddle instead.
