Hi Wes,

You've finally confirmed that you aren't a banjo-pickin' kitty!!!  I have the same kind of attachment to my fiddle, my Dad gave it to me when I was ten as an eleventh birthday present!  I think it makes the music coming out of it a little more special!  I hope you will always keep and play your mom's fiddle!

I was looking at this picture and realized that's the same fiddle I was playing in my Harper's Ferry picture almost 40 years to the day earlier. My Mom got it in High School in the 1930's, She played violin then. My sister took it to violin lessons when she was a teen, She stopped and I've been fiddling ever since. I've had a little set up work done on it and dragged with me halfway accross the country. Its been a good old friend.
