New Book of original compositions-The Sligo Maid

Well known musician/ singer/composer Carmel Gunning has just published a book of her compositions dating back to 1983. There arke 64 tunes in total - reels, jigs, Hornpipes, flings, polkas, slow airs and waltz's. Orders have come in from around the world which includes America, France, Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland.

The book can be purchased from me and Coleman Centre, Gutteen, Co. Sligo.

Well known musician and singer is celebrating 45 years in the music busines this year 2014. To mark the occasion she will be hosting some shows. Look our for the dates of the shows.

15th Annual Carmel Gunning Int. Summer School Festival of Irish Music and Song, Sligo.

The 15th Annual Carmel Gunning Int. Summer School Music Festival will be held on the 4th 5th and 6th August inclusive this year.

Monday 4th August - Classes 11am - 5pm. Then Music session at 9.30pm in Earleys Pub in Bridge Street, Sligo town.

Special Guests are Orlaith McAuliffe and Brogan McAuliffe (London) plus localand visiting musicians.

Tuesday 5th August - Classes 11am - 5pm. Then Trad, Singers Session at 9pm in Earleys Pub in Bridge…
