We grew up listening to my dad play reels and jigs on his old fiddle, which I have. Kids are grown; I quit work this year and would play the fiddle all the time if possible, but it is not. Thursdays I play with friends at a local Slow Jam, from written music, about half of which is Irish and Scottish. My desire is to play trad Irish by ear, up to speed, and I am working on it. Scandi music also appeals to me, but is not in my playing future.

You are welcome to come visit us in Cincinnati any time!  The Riley School of Irish Music instructors will help you learn to play by ear! And keep working at the fiddle every day... and I will too :)!
