Hi all :-)I've been doing some writing and recording lately, the results of which I posted here on my page. It's one of my favourite pass-times writing songs, devising the melody around it, sing and…Continue

Hello Friends in Trad!! Some time ago, with nothing at hand, an idea came to me for a song...So I took up a pencil and paper and wrote some lyrics. Now a voice-only recording is OK, but in this case I thought "what the heck", I'll see if I can find some help on this...So I have asked Joe and Adele, from Dulahan, if they would play the tune that I…

Hi Kees!
Sounds like you're getting along fine with your Löfgren. Keep up the good work mate!
All the best, Lars
Hi, Kees!!
How are you? Hope you're doing well.
Any news from Holland? Are you playing some tunes?
Here in Rosario the weather is very warm these days... too much I must say!
This year I'm planning to take part of the Willie Clancy summer in Milltown Malbay school and spend a few months in Ireland to improve my banjo skills.
Will I see you there? They say is an extraordinary experience!
Well.. that's all by now... hope to see you there or anywhere to share a session! Bye!!
Hiya Kees!!! Just listened to your Soundcloud posting of "An Paistin Fionn". Very nicely done!!! For a minute I thought to myself, "Hey,... how did Kees pick the same song as me to record and post???" I'm still recording some tracks of it and then have to mix it all,...then I can post it on TC. It'll have an intro of "Si Bheag, Si Mhor" and blend into Niamh Parson's version of "An Paistin Fionn" (one of the first Irish songs I heard and learned). I can only hope I do it justice.
Anyway,....glad to see you're still active and cranking-out those tunes. Cheers,
Danny
Hey Kees!!! Just wanted to thank you for your help, advice and support. You're a good man, sir!!! Cheers,
Danny
Kees. The lunasa video didnt load correctly. Make sure you tick the "use old embed code" when you grab the code from youtube
Hey Kees. Just wanted to extend an invitation for you to join "Storytellers: The Gift of Gab & The Golden Tongue",..a new group I started (since I see you enjoyed Kathleen & Billy's "The Devil & Bailliff McGlynn"). Perhaps we can get a few stories out of you. Cheers, mate. Hope all's well in your end of the world.
Danny
Thank you Kees! Very much!
I will take some time tomorrow and have a listen.
We wrapped up a recording 2 mos. ago and it's in the mix process now....So, we won't be recording again for at least a year. If we do use it, it will be protected and registered anyway, and you will be credited, as part of the registration of our music.
Best!
Cynthia
Drink up, me hearty, yo ho!!! I'm working on it (getting some songs ready for posting). Still learning the recording and mixing thing on my TASCAM DP24. 'Tis a work in progress, laddie!!! And thirsty work to boot!!! Think I'll join ye with a Guiness me-self. Cheers, my friend,
Danny
Hey Kees, Love your recent posting of Seamus McInnes. I see you're still at it, but I've got to wonder: Have ye got any "KEES'S GROUPIES" yet??? How about some "KEES'S T-SHIRTS" (I'll take an XXtra Large, please)??? };^) LOL, LOL, LOL,...ye know I can't resist teasing ye!!! Well done, mate (ye can't hear it but I'm applauding ye)!!! Now, get back to work and post more songs!!! Cheers, mate,
Danny
