"I just wish when their is a pause for breathing or a particular mastery of a phrase occurs with singing, that folks who are listening would interject with a "quite right" or even join in singing the refrain towards the end."

the Balladeer

This group is meant for anyone with a profound love for, or anyone who loves to sing the irish ballad. As badge for this group I uploaded a pic of Luke Kelly, balladeer. This should say enough about what I have in mind, I think...Luke Kelly and Ronny Drew were, so to speak,  "My Founding Fathers" concerning Irish music, and I fear we will never see their likes again...Anyway, if Sean Nos is not entirely your thing, and you want to talk Dubliners, Paddy Reilly or the Fureys kind of stuff, this…See More

Three time qualifier for All-Ireland. Finishing first in Midwest on two occasions. Started studying traditional Irish singing in 2008.
I enjoy listening to trad songs being sung as much, if not more,as singing. Unfortunately, the song sessions in my region America are limited. Also, what passes for trad music would not be appropriate for Fleadh. Enthusiasts are all spread out. So the only time we really get together is at fleadh qualifiers and the Fleadh Cheoil. Hoping to explore maybe virtual song circles.
