Hello Órlaith,
Just wondering how you are with all what happens in London. Hope you are safe!
Yves-Antoine.
Hi Orlaith,
I know it sounds trivial by now but your playing is absolutely savage, such control and tone purely amazing. You are up there with some of the legendary players like Kevin Crawford, Matt Molly and Conal O'Grada etc. I also saw you playing some of Phil Hardy's low whistles and was equally blown away by your awesome talent. Have you thought of giving any flute work shops because it would be such a crime to not pass on such masterful talent.
Kevin Crawford and Kirsten Alstaff, was a great inspiration for me in starting to play the flute last July when I met them In Liscannor. I wish I had started much sooner and had more time but this cancer is getting the best me but I'm going to keep playing because it is such a beautiful instrument for expressing one inner feelings sad or happy.
I shall keep watching your inspirational playing. All the best...

Hi Orlaith,
Well done indeed !!! - I've just seen the fleadh results.
I wish I could have been there to see you compete but sadly I was stuck in England as per usual. Any chance of any more film clips ending up on here ?
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Orlaith, I've listened to your Youtube clip twenty times ( The Moving Cloud one) and still can't figure out even one of the ornaments... they sound baroque sometimes!! --They still knock me out each time.... Are they from the piping repertoire or could you mention a player I could listen to to get a handle on them please?? And I've slowed right down and am playing much more carefully now, I love it.. thank you so much again for the tremendous inspiration.
Slan, Pearse

Fantastic to see and hear you all at at Welwyn Garden City
My goodness, thank YOU Orlaith.... I shall practice every day from now on... I was a neighbour of Eugene Lambe , the uileann pipe and flute maker, in Fanore in North west Clare for two years and he made me a flute which I love.... I'll put something up on Youtube as soon as I feel it's good enough..... what an inspiration to first find you and then this Tradconnect....... I don't know how to thank you... my very best regards.. Pearse
Look who it isn't...
Oh my. I just watched your low whistle videos on http://www.kerrywhistles.com (someone linked to them from Chiff and Fipple and said you put us all to shame--I think they're right).
You've inspired me. I'm having a fair bit of trouble with my Low G, especially on the bottom note, and I haven't yet developed a consistent grip that I'm happy with (or can play well with). Your grip looks a bit different and I just might try parts of it. I also love the way you do the vibrato with your finger motions—you make it look so natural and easy. I'm going to redouble my efforts with your videos to spur me on.
Just caught your version of "The Masons Apron" - STUNNING - I think I may throw my whistle away - or perhaps I should take it back to the shop and see if I can trade it in for a faster one?
