Traditional Irish Music
Rebecca Badger has not received any gifts yet
I began, in 1972, as a classically trained violinist and over the years, I've played weddings, teas, contests and the like. Then I saw the light! Now, I play fiddle with my husband and a small group of friends in the South Bend area and we call ourselves Hoosier Paddy. I'll still throw down some Vivaldi, here and there, but celtic music has taken hold in my bones. I had a fascinating classroom experience with Liz Doherty, August of 2011 at the Milwaukee Irishfest in Wisconsin. Liz is a such great fiddler and lady, with a relaxed and helpful teaching style. I learned so much!
Our daughter and son are grown with children of their own and I have high hopes that the little ones will one day pick up an instrument and play along with us.
