Originally from Lavey, County Derry, I am a traditional singer with a taste for the theatrical in my presentations. I have created a couple of private CDs of my work, one a collection of winter and Christmas songs (such as this one http://snd.sc/101k5q8 ) sung unaccompanied and with sparse guitar and organ, and the other a collection of songs culled from or suggested by Joyce's "Ulysses"
I coordinate the monthly session in Lebanon, PA

thanks for the nice comment on my Seamus McInnes song on soundcloud :-) I didn't actually "find" it though, I wrote it myself :-) Been listening to your songs too, and there's some real nice ones there too. Particularly like "the Pretty Maid milkig her Cow" , lovely song that is! (shame it's only right channel you can hear)
Hiya Seamus!!! Thanks for the "heads-up" for your newly posted "The Road to Lisdoonvarna" & "Hear I Am Amongst You" on your Soundcloud link ( http://snd.sc/101k5q8 ). I've posted that link here in my comment so other TC members could check it for themselves (hope ye don't mind). Well done, mate. Had me tappin' me foot. Cheers,
Thanks Seamus! Possibility of my getting back to PA sometime between now and mid July, and if that happens I'll be reaching out to see what music is on in the area!
If not then it will be early spring next year... can't travel Aug-Dec for family reasons.
All the best to the Gansey brothers and all other players in Lebanon and surrounding areas!
I see Brendan the odd time but unfortunately not with his fiddle! I think he's on this site if you do a search.
The legend that is Joe Diamond still plays at The Loup (my hometown) - don't think he'll finish til everyone plays a banjo!
Some very good young male singers come in & out of the session in Bryson's - makes me very jealous, wish I could even sing a few basic songs but alas no
Do you ever make it back home?
Don't forget to come in for a song & a tune next time your back.
Hi Seamus, South Derry session getting better all the time. Managed to set up a new session in Bryson's Bar in Magherafelt last year & now going strong. Which Henry's are they - anything to Brendan the fiddle player from Bellaghy?
Hey Seamus. I see you've met and friended Kees. Ye may wanna join his Balladeer Group,....a great bunch of folk and an interesting place to check in. He'll probably buy ye a pint!!! Cheers,
Hey Seamus. Welcome to TradConnect. You've a beautiful voice (couldn't access your posted song, but I was able to give a listen to your linked "Winter and Christmas Songs" from you profile page: "The Wren in the Furze", "The Month of January" and "That Night in Bethlehem" sung beautifully in the Irish Gaeilge ( http://snd.sc/101k5q8 ). Wow,...didn't expect your high range. Can't wait to meet you at Patsy Fagan's. Slainte,
