Music has been a part of my life since I was born. When I was only a year old, my grandparents bought me a small, white keyboard for Christmas, and I played on it all the time. At only 18 months old, I was able to play The Wedding March! Then, when I was five years old, my grandparents bought me another keyboard for Christmas, bigger than the other one. Again, I loved playing it, and I was very happy when I got a real piano for my sixth birthday. I always loved playing the piano. I especially loved playing Christmas carols. When I was eight years old, I started taking piano lessons. My piano teacher, Graig Sams, was amazing! He, not only taught me a lot on the piano, but he was also an amazing friend. He always made me laugh, and he was easy to talk to. After a few years of piano lessons, I was playing songs by ABBA!

However, playing the piano is not my biggest passion. I didn't realize that, until I was 15 years old. I still kept playing the piano. I still enjoyed it. However, when I was playing on my computer, I was singing along with "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera, and I just let it out! That night was my epiphany. That was when I realized what I wanted to do with my life--become a singer. Ever since then, I have been working hard to reach that goal.

I entered a talent show at a blind camp I went to when I was 16--"Camp Easter Seals." I had never sung in front of an audience before, but it was an amazing feeling! I re-entered the same talent show when I went back the next year. It was the same in high school. I sang in the high school variety show during junior and senior year, and I couldn't believe the reaction I got. I didn't think I would get so much love and support, but I did!

Senior year in high school, I joined the Mixed Choir, and I had a blast! I discovered I was a soprano. My choir teacher--Susan Bowles, was absolutely amazing! I couldn't believe how much most of the students in her class took her for granted. She was definitely underappreciated, and deserved more thanks. She deserved to be treated so much better. She was a wonderful teacher, and a great role model.

When I went to college at Radford University, I took a voice class during my freshman year, and I learned classical music! Wow, I couldn't believe I was learning to sing classical music! Before that class, I was always singing pop songs. It was awesome to widen my range of genres. I even learned to sing songs in Italian and French! Again, I had an excellent teacher--Elizabeth Curtis.

Sophmore and junior year, I sang in the Women's Chorale, with choir director, David Castonguay. Again, amazing experience, and amazing teacher!

After three years in college, I decided that was enough for me. Besides the music classes I took, college really wasn't for me. It was too much stress for me, and I wanted to focus more on my music.

Now, I'm singing at many different karaoke bars. I've recorded some demo CDs to give out to friends and family, and I have even had the amazing opportunity to sing at Wheatland Hills Nursing Home in Radford, Virginia three times! I have entered several karaoke contests, and am in a few now. I'm working hard to get my music out there. I have a YouTube channel where I post videos of me singing, and I have this Facebook page.

I want to touch people with my music. I don't care how different I am from other singers. I'm not singing to please people. I'm singing, because it makes me happy, and I'm singing to touch people.

My fiance, Sylvester DeBray, and I have decided to work together, and make our own CD of Irish and Celtic music!  I will be singing, and he'll be playing the piano and/or keyboard.  I'm so excited to actually get to work with him.  He is incredibly talented!

The album will be titled "Shamrock…
