I'm a percussionist and ethnomusicologist from the Carolinias/Hawai`i, but now living in London. I play with the Medieval Celtic Speed Folk band PerKelt full time, as well as play solo or play drums in other projects. Whilst working on my Ph.D. in ethnomusicology, I worked with several instrument makers and built most of the drums I use now, including tars, a tonbak, a Medieval-style marching baritone drum, and a Tlingit Ixt shaman drum. PerKelt plays/tours regularly and we are currently recording our third CD to be released just before our Irish tour this Aug/Sept.
