WicklowTrad.com launched its summer series of trad sessions in Wicklow Town on Wednesday 1 June. The first session had 18 musicians and included Peter Staunton & friends, Colm Fahey & friends, and a whole host of local musicians. Hi all,
Its been an eventful 2011 so far to say the least!
The year kicked off with intensive practicing, arranging, composing and recording for and exiting new fiddle based band project entitled "The Strideset" which is headed up by Trish Clarke and Meabh O Hare.

We have a pretty broad focus with regard to albums that we review driven mainly by the time and resources we have at our disposal. Priority is given to 2014 new releases of traditional music or albums with a strong traditional focus.

Hi All.
You will notice that a "Like" button has been added to the site and appears under all photos, videos, blogs etc. It appears as a red thumbs up, symbol. You can now indicate material that you like on the site. Its a great way to interact and show fellow members what you like.
