St. Helens, Merseyside

Hi. I'm based in St. Helens, Merseyside and play the 10-string cittern. I've been a part of the Merseyside Irish music scene for the best part of 40 years. My Dad was from Killawalla in County Mayo and in fact a lot of my family are still there - the rest are in Oughterard, County Galway. People I've performed with include most of the Black Family, Niamh Parsons & Graham Dunn, Garva, Ildanach and I was once asked by Christy Moore to sing harmonies on one of his albums ( it never happened…

My Tenor Guitar Videos ~ 3!

It is true to say that the Tenor Guitar is not the first instrument that comes to mind, when anyone starts thinking of Irish Music. Clancys bar Athy trad weekend

We went to Clancys yesterday afternoon and had some lovely tunes. As well as their regular musicians there was a group from wexford who were very friendly and lovely players. It continues on today but sadly we can't make it.
