Traditional Irish Music
We have a pretty broad focus with regard to albums that we review driven mainly by the time and resources we have at our disposal. Priority is given to 2014 new releases of traditional music or albums with a strong traditional focus.
For previous years please send us your CD. While we may not do a formal review we will highlight the album in various articles. After that we also cover albums that may have a more folk, Brittany, Scottish, etc type of feel. Basically anything that is generally in this area will be considered. Best bet is to send it in by post or digitally. If we don't have it we can't write about it.
If your album has been reviewed by another recognised site/blog/publication you can ask the reviewer to join Tradconnect and post the review with a bottom line link to the original. Reviews that follow our existing layout and size, assuming they are balanced and a fair reflection of the music may get added to our album summary on the home page. With the reviewers permission you can post the review yourself, with links back to the source author.
Please note that we have limited resources and pure volumes will dictate what we can get to. We do appreciate our members efforts in producing these albums and will do our best.
Send a copy of your album to this address For new releases send us a second copy and we will give it away in a competition thereby getting you some more publicity.
Reviewed albums also get posted out to other social media sites and can feature in the Album of the Year award.
