First Listen to Aoife Ní Chaoimh & Paudie O' Connor's new album 'Didn't She Dance and Dance'

Paudie O' Connor and Aoife Ní Chaoimh both hail from County Kerry and have just released a new album with a strapline reading "Sliabh Luachra Music on Fiddle and Accordion.' The album is called "Didn't She Dance and Dance" and it's now on general release.  Paudie's playing follows in the traditions of Sliabh Luachra, with his influences gained from the the distinctive style of fiddlers like Padraig O' Keeffe and Denis Murphy as well as the influence of box players like Johnny O' Leary, Jimmy Doyle and John Brosnan.  Aoife likewise learned her music from local musicians including teachers Anne and Nicky McAulliffe and she also plays in a style associated with Sliabh Luachra. They have just released the new album and plan to launch it as part of The Gathering Festival that takes place between 18th - 22nd February 2015. Their concert will be on 20th February and over the course of the festival they may also be playing with other artists including Seán McKeown, Liam O Connor & Caoimhín Ó Fearghail.

We will get to a review of the album shortly.  In the meantime here is a first listen to a track from the album.  It's a set of polkas called Nelly Cleare's, Ellen's Delight and Danny Green's.
