We are listening to Bernadette's new album at the moment and hope to have a review out shortly, or at least in advance of her launch which takes place on 7th May 2013 at The John Hewitt Bar, Donegal Street, Belfast.
Impressive album with the title track provided by John Spillane.
Bernadette is fresh new talent for sure with her own take on Irish traditional music and folk songs. She seems to be making a name for herself up north and in the UK so it is only time before she makes a break to a wider audience.
She hails from the hills of Tyrone and currently based in Belfast, has spent the last 23 of her tender 30 years, quietly immersed in music and song. From a musical family, Bernadette started singing and playing the fiddle at the young age of 7. Now working full time at the music business this album should bring her to a new level. We attach an earlier demo of A Roving on a Winter's night which is also included on the album.
