Track of the Week : Bryan O'Leary & Colm Guilfoyle - The Bicycle/Johnny O' Leary's (30th August'15)

Our track of the week this week is taken from the debut album by Bryan O’Leary and Colm Guilfoyle called Where the Bog Is.  We did a Worldwide Album Launch recently and you can read it here.

This debut was recorded in Tureencahill National School and the musicians state that the album “is an expression of our respect and appreciation for the music and history of our native Sliabh Luachra. Since we began playing together some years ago, we have had a shared interest in researching and playing our local music. We've also enjoyed hearing the yarns associated with the music. This album features a host of rare and not so rare music from the Sliabh Luachra area, music that we have acquired through original recordings and manuscripts as well as commercial publications such as Terry Moylan's ‘Johnny O'Leary of Sliabh Luachra’, and the renowned O'Neill and Breathnach collections.

The album is now available to purchase from Bandcamp

For radio broadcasters the album is free to download from our Download Centre on Tradconnect. Just click on the icon below.
