Traditional Irish Music
We like to celebrate our milestones here on Tradconnect and this week we have passed the 3,000 members mark which is indeed cause for celebration. In addition , April 2013 is our 2nd anniversary and we have already reached Page 1 on Google when you search the keywords Traditional Irish Music. Thanks to everyone for your support and for inviting your friends onto the site.
For 2013 we are planning to focus on our members by celebrating their work and achievements. Everyone has a story to tell, so please share yours with us by sending us a detailed email. Whether you are involved in setting up sessions, organising a festival, running a slow session, trying to get a fund together for a record. Tell us your story and if it grabs our attention we will follow up with you and turn it into an interesting article. In addition we invite members to use our blog facility to re-post articles from your own blogs and sites elsewhere on the net. You can also add your link at the end of the blog thus driving more traffic to your own site. We now have thousands of visitors every month so it is a great way for others to discover your work.
For professional members we would encourage you to submit your albums to us. Our album reviews have up to 2,500 views with many having close to 1,000 - you'd be mad not to. If you are gigging in Dublin put us on the guest list and we may pop along and review your gig.
Finally we have recently started a Spotify Playlist which includes music we are currently listening to as well as great tracks that we recommend. Send us a track on Spotify ( User Name : Tony Lawless ) and we will include it in our next playlist. Recommend a favourite artist or one of your own tracks.
If you have any ideas that you would like to see introduced on Tradconnect why not let us know. Better still if you would like to get involved simply get in contact with us. If you like what we are doing tell all your friends and invite them along. That's it for now!
Thanks to Jim McAuley for the great photo of John Kennedy M.B.E.
