Celebs take up trad instruments - Faoi Lán Cheoil

Hi Everyone,

Came across this on Youtube and thought some of you might like to watch it if you missed it when it was aired was aired.   A few Irish take up different instruments to learn Irish trad music.  It's entertaining and the teachers are top class.

John Creedon learns the flute

Marie Jones learns button accordion

Jeremy Irons learns the fiddle

Andy Reid learns Banjo - this one doesn't have subtitles for some reason but some of it is in English.

Hi guys,

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I missed it myself the first time round so it was a nice find! Fair play to them all for putting themselves out there in the public eye. I'm playing almost a year now and there's no way I'd put myself in front of a crowd! I hope it will inspire a few others to pick up an instrument. It really is never too late to learn.

I watched the fiddle one also.  I could do with a few lessons from Martin Hayes myself!
