Cúig - Shaking up the Irish trad scene!

Cúig are part of the next wave of new fresh innovative trad bands that according to their own PR are "gonna shake up the Irish Trad Scene". Here they are competing in the An Ré Nua Grand Final in July of this year. Its their combination of pipes, accordion and banjo supplemented with guitar and drums that give their music a solid back beat. With extended instrumental breaks between tunes and a punked up near Horslips sound they will no doubt make their mark.  The band comprise Miceál Mullen - Banjo, Rónán Stewart - Fiddle/ Uilleann pipes, Ruairí Stewart - Guitar, Eoin Murphy - Button Accordion and Cathal Murphy - Bodhrán.
